Family Law Help?
Family Law cases, which may include divorce, child custody, child support, and other family law matters, are typically filed in the county in which the parties live. Therefore, if you and your spouse live in Oviedo, your Oviedo divorce, alimony, child custody, child support, or other family law case, would typically be filed with the Seminole County Court, because Oviedo is located in Seminole County.
This rule concerning with which Court a family law case should be filed applies regardless of marital status. So, just as above, if you are the unmarried parent of a minor and you and the other parent live in Oviedo, your Oviedo paternity, child custody, child support, modification, or other type of family law case, would typically be filed with the Seminole County Court.
Likewise, if one of the parents resides in Oviedo and the other parent resides in another state, the Oviedo divorce or Oviedo family law case could be filed in Seminole County so long as the jurisdictional requirements are met. However, if any of the children related to the family law case are located in the other state, the authority of the Seminole County Court may be limited.
Now in those cases where one of the parents resides in Oviedo and the other party resides outside Seminole County, the Oviedo divorce or other type of family law case would not necessarily have to be filed in Seminole County, but could be filed in Seminole County.
As your family law attorney or divorce lawyer, attorney Acevedo will provide you with all the legal help and the family law legal advice you should expect from your family lawyer. He will also analyze all the aspects of your divorce or family law case with you and assist you in the effort to reach a fair resolution in your case. After all, if a fair resolution is reached in your family law or divorce case before having to fully prepare for trial, both sides will likely benefit.
And if the other side refuses to be reasonable regarding
your Oviedo Family Law or Oviedo Divorce case, we
will fully prepare your case and take it to Court
Oviedo, Florida
The city of Oviedo was named by Andrew Aulin, Oviedo's first postmaster. Born in Sweden, Aulin was an early settler and shop owner in the Lake Jesup community, part of which became the city of Oviedo.

In 1879, residents of the area that was soon to be named Oviedo needed an easily accessible post office. Aulin filed the paperwork required by the government.

Aulin wanted a unique name for the post office and wanted a Spanish name that would go with the Spanish name of the state. Aulin decided to name the post office Oviedo after the University of Oviedo located in northern Spain. While some say Aulin visited the University of Oviedo, others say he just liked the sound of the Spanish pronunciation of "Oviedo."

While it is not clear if Aulin actually visited the university, the residents kept the Oviedo name and the city of Oviedo was incorporated in 1925. Back then, Oviedo had roughly 800 residents. Today, Oviedo has over thirty four thousand residents.
