Family Law Help?
Seminole County, Florida
Before Seminole County was established, the area was part of Orange County and Mellonville, which is now a part of Sanford, was the county seat. However, the county seat was moved to Orlando in 1856.

In 1875, Henry Sanford made an appeal to the Orange County Commission to move the Orange County seat back to Sanford. The Commission rejected Sanford's plans but, for years thereafter, some residents and businessmen from the area often discussed the creation of Seminole County. Then in 1912, the discussions gained momentum and in 1913, Seminole County was established.

In celebration of the birth of Seminole County, the residents rolled out a cannon that was traditionally fired on special occasions. Unfortunately, the eager Seminole County residents overloaded the old cannon and when they fired it, the old cannon blew apart. And thus, the celebrants were provided with unanticipated "fireworks."

Como abogado de divorcio de Seminole que le ofrece servicios legales a la comunidad de Seminole y abogado de familia, el abogado Acevedo le puede brindar asesoramiento y representación legal con referencia a su caso de divorcio, custodia, o manutención.
Divorce, child custody, child support, and other family law cases are typically filed with the Court in the county in which the parties live. Therefore, if you are married and you and your spouse live in Seminole County, your Seminole County divorce, alimony, child custody, child support, modification, or other type of family law matter, would typically be filed with the Seminole County Court.
This same rule regarding where to file a family law case applies regardless of marital status. So, like in the example above, if you are the unmarried parent of a child and you and the other parent live in Seminole County, your Seminole County child custody, modification, paternity, or other type of family law case, would typically be filed with the Seminole County Court.
Similarly, if one of the parties lives in Seminole County and the other party lives in another state, the Seminole County family law case could be filed in Seminole County if the jurisdictional requirements are met. However, in those cases in which any children related to the family law case are located in the other state, the authority of the Seminole County Court may be limited.
Now in those cases where one of the parties lives in Seminole County and the other party lives in a city that is not located in Seminole County, the Seminole County family law case could be filed in Seminole County, but would not necessarily have to be filed in Seminole County.
As your divorce attorney or family lawyer, attorney Acevedo will provide you with all the family law legal advice and legal help you should expect from your family lawyer. He will also analyze everything in your case with you so that you can take reasonable steps toward a fair resolution of your case. And, if a fair resolution is reached in your divorce or family law case before having to fully prepare for trial, both sides should benefit from less heartache and from the savings.
And if the other side refuses to be reasonable regarding
your Seminole County Divorce or Seminole County Family
case, we will fully prepare your case and take it to Court
